Lord Northfield Scholarship 2009

Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge is offering the Lord Northfield Scholarship to eligible nationals of St. Lucia. The objective of this scholarship is to enable a student of outstanding academic merit from the English-Speaking Caribbean to pursue an undergraduate course of study at Emmanuel College in the University of Cambridge.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Applicants may study any subject relevant to the needs of his or her country, except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
2. The scholarship is tenable for three or four years, depending on the course of study.
3. Applicants must be under the age of 21 at the time of applying.
4. Applicants must be citizens of St. Lucia.
5. At the time of applying, applicants must have or expect to obtain before October 2009, excellent A’ Levels (or the equivalent).
6. Applicant must gain entry into Emmanuel College for October 2009.
7. Applicants must be from low income backgrounds, such that, without the full scholarship, they would be unable to attend University of Cambridge.
The scholarship will cover the University Tuition fees for overseas students, two (2) return economy airfares each year, and a generous personal allowance for a single student.
