Serving as Her Majesty’s representative in Saint Lucia;

Perform duties outlined in the Constitution;

Attend events of national significance;

Receive foreign diplomatic personnel;

Representing Saint Lucia abroad;

Discharge of duties as Patron to eligible national organisations;

Extending hospitality to foreign guests, national organisations and Saint Lucian nationals at home and abroad;

Co-ordinate and oversee the execution of Special Projects initiated by the Office of Governor-General or at the request of other Agencies;

General oversight of the administrative and domestic staff and of the management of the official residence of the Governor-General;

Provide leadership in those aspects of the social, cultural, intellectual and economic life of the country, which fall within the remit of the Office of the Governor-General. 

Appointments to the Order of Saint Lucia

Efficient and timely discharge of functions outlined in the Constitutions;

Maintenance of Government House as a national asset;

Promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of Saint Lucia;

Promotion of the social and economic interests of Saint Lucia.
